Shadow-gap frame, QuadraSoft square

A square with rounded corners gets a frame with exactly the same curve – nothing touches, the shadow gap stays equally wide everywhere.

For deep canvases on 36 or 48 mm

At 50 mm deep this frame around the QuadraSoft square is built for canvases on 36 or 48 mm stretcher bars: even deep gallery canvases disappear completely inside, leaving only the painting and the shadow gap in view. Profile and shadow gap are identical to our round beech frames. The same finish is available at 38 mm – switch above.

Pure beech – or oiled

We mill it from solid beech, glue and nail it at the back and sand it repeatedly. Left unfinished it stays light and ready for your own stain – or pick the linseed-oil option above.

Choosing the size

The outer size is 5 cm larger than your canvas, 2.5 cm per side: a 110×110 cm canvas takes the 115×115 cm frame – €599 here. 19 sizes from 25×25 cm to 205×205 cm (width × height), from €179. Intermediate sizes on request.

Will a 24 mm canvas work in the 50 mm frame? It fits, but sits deep inside and leaves a wide inner edge. For 24 mm canvases the 38 mm version of the QuadraSoft square frame looks better.
