QuadraSoft Rectangle Canvas – pine, 48 mm

A rectangle with rounded corners that you can hang upright or landscape. At 48 mm, the QuadraSoft rectangle canvas in pine with linen stands almost 5 cm proud of the wall and reads as an object. The linen weighs 400 g/m², is triple-primed and keeps the tension even across the whole QuadraSoft rectangle on the 48 mm pine stretcher.

Pine and linen, 48 mm: the right match?

Pine with linen gives you the fine oil fabric in the QuadraSoft rectangle shape at a lower price – good for oil studies and medium sizes. At 48 mm the painting becomes a wall object – especially from about 80 cm. Pine multiplex is light and stays true up to about 120 cm; for the largest sizes up to 190×200 cm we recommend birch. Good subjects for this shape in pine: upright portraits as well as landscapes.

Which size?

18 sizes from 20×30 cm to 190×200 cm (width × height) are available for the 48 mm QuadraSoft rectangle canvas in pine with linen – the smallest from €71.00. For comparison: 80×90 cm costs €238.00 in this version. Large sizes get a centre cross from 130 cm side length, so the tension holds. Intermediate sizes on request.

Questions about the QuadraSoft rectangle canvas in pine, 48 mm

Does the linen on the QuadraSoft rectangle in pine work for acrylics too? Yes. Linen takes acrylics just as well and stays tauter than cotton – from about 150 cm it is the better choice for acrylics too, and this shape goes up to 190×200 cm.

Why does the linen version cost more? Linen is considerably more expensive than cotton and is joined in lengths for large sizes – at 80×90 cm this version costs €238.00.

Is pine enough up to 190 cm? Up to about 120 cm, yes. For the large sizes up to 190×200 cm birch stays more stable; the QuadraSoft rectangle at 48 mm is also available in birch.

Which wood is right for you?

Standard

Pine Multiplex – Standard

  • More affordable and lighter than birch
  • Ideal for acrylics and thin oils
  • Standard formats up to 150 cm
  • Suitable for hobby and personal use
  • Great for dry techniques
Premium

Birch Multiplex – Premium

  • Harder, denser and 100 % warp-free
  • Ideal for wet techniques (watercolour, ink)
  • For heavy techniques (palette knife, resin)
  • For sale, exhibitions and galleries
  • Oversized formats up to 300 cm

Rule of thumb: up to 150 cm and dry techniques → Pine. From 150 cm, for sale or wet/heavy techniques → Birch.
