The portal shape is taller than it is wide and closes with a semicircle at the top. The cotton (380 g/m²) goes onto the 48 mm pine stretcher triple-primed or, for your own ground, unprimed.

In the portal arch shape, pine with cotton is the most affordable version – right for acrylics, practice, classes and hobby painting. At 48 mm the painting becomes a wall object – especially from about 80 cm. The pine stretcher keeps weight and price down (80×62 cm for €140) and stays straight up to around 120 cm. Good subjects for this shape in pine: window views, architecture, floral and sacred motifs.

Large sizes get a centre cross from 130 cm height, so the tension holds. Intermediate sizes on request.
