Shadow-gap frame, narrow oval

Made for elongated ovals of about 5:3: the frame traces the long ellipse and keeps the same slim shadow gap everywhere.

For 24 mm canvases

At 38 mm deep this frame around the narrow oval is built for canvases on 24 mm stretcher bars: the most common depth – the canvas sits fully inside and a slim beech lip frames the picture surface. Profile and shadow gap are identical to our round beech frames. The same finish is available at 50 mm – switch above.

Painted in the colour you choose

We paint it with belton® free – water-based and solvent-free – and seal it afterwards: 15 shades in matt, satin and high gloss, plus gold, silver and bronze, side face included. Missing your colour? Get in touch.

Choosing the size

The outer size is 5 cm larger than your canvas, 2.5 cm per side: a 120×72 cm canvas takes the 125×77 cm frame – €679 here. 18 sizes from 35×23 cm to 205×125 cm (width × height), from €379. The narrow oval works landscape as well as upright. Intermediate sizes on request.
