An oval canvas from our workshop
Oval formats are hard to find in shops. We make them ourselves in Chemnitz – from milling the frame to stretching the canvas. This version combines a birch multiplex frame, 24 mm deep, with 400 g linen.
The frame
Birch multiplex from European production – hard, dimensionally stable and warp-free. The safe choice for large formats, wet or heavy techniques and paintings for sale or exhibition.
The fabric
100% linen, approx. 400 g/m², triple white-primed. Fine, strong fibre – the classic choice for oil painting and, from about 150 cm, the better choice for acrylics too.
Frame depth
24 mm – the classic depth: the frame steps back and the painting takes centre stage.
Sizes
Available from 30×18 to 200×120 cm. From 130 cm we add a centre cross so the canvas stays taut. Other sizes on request.
